Thanksgiving dinner in a blur

Sad to miss my favorite cooking holiday of the year. At Disney for Julia’s birthday. Had a tandoori chicken salad for my Thanksiving dinner…

Knowing I would miss the feast, Monday I prepared a weeknight turkey dinner, in a blur. Got home at 5, fired up the BGE and tossed on a turkey breast rubbed with my usual BBQ rub. Cooked at 300 until 165 degrees, about 1:45. Meanwhile, I made pumpkin pots du creme, leek and andouille stuffing/bread pudding, Madras curry and honey roasted acorn squash, and buttered green beans. Finish the whole thing with a pan gravy (used some duck fat for the roux). Dinner on the table at 7:15. Not too shabby, albeit blurry.

Happy Thanksgiving!
