How about a little Big Green Egg love? Michael Ruhlman has caught on. Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving! I know we sure did what with the glut of goodies on Thursday followed by the full-on fish fry on Friday. Odd tradition, maybe, but you sure won’t leave hungry.

As a side note, I had the chance to man the XL BGE that my aunt and uncle recently got. I have to say that it’s about like cooking in a rocket engine. It’s massive and amazing, a bit overkill for me when I’m really only cooking for 4. But if you’re consistently grilling for the crowd, you couldn’t do much better if you tried. We fit about 8 ribeyes on there with PLENTY of room to spare. As with any charcoal grill, you have to know where the hot spots are.
