Sautee some chopped green olives, black olives, artichoke hearts, and sun-dried tomatoes quickly just to warm it up. Add your basic tomato sauce and bring it together. Alternatively, you can let it cook down a bit to increase the flavor depth.

Throw in some al dente fettuccine adding a little starch water if you need to in order to bring together.
Serve with some grated parm, and some fresh, good quality olive oil. You’ve seen a lot of folks on TV do it, but I’ll warn you that if you can’t taste the olive oil, don’t bother with this step, because all you’re doing is adding fat for nothing in return. If you can find one that is bright, flavorful, and adds something to the dish, add it by all means.
